Delete Your MyFurtopia Account
Remove your MyFurtopia account and personal data at any time.
You are always in control of your data. You can permanently delete your MyFurtopia account — and the personal data associated with it — directly inside the app. This page explains how, what gets deleted, and the limited records we are legally required to keep.
Delete your account in the app
The fastest way to delete your account is from within the MyFurtopia mobile app:
- Open the MyFurtopia app and sign in.
- Go to your Profile tab.
- Open Settings and scroll to the account section.
- Tap Delete Account.
- Confirm by tapping “Delete My Account”, then “Yes, Delete Everything”.
Your account and personal data are deleted immediately once you confirm. This action is permanent and cannot be undone.
Can’t access the app?
If you can no longer sign in or access the app, you can request deletion by email. We’ll verify ownership of the account and complete the deletion for you.
Email support@myfurtopia.com from the email address on your account, with the subject line “Account Deletion Request.” We aim to action verified requests within 30 days.
What gets deleted
When you delete your account, we permanently remove the personal data linked to it, including:
- Your login and profile (name, email, profile details, authentication records)
- Your pets and their profiles
- Your posts, social posts, comments and likes
- Your messages
- Your saved settings and preferences
- Two-factor authentication data and terms-acceptance records
- Activity and event history tied to your account
What we keep, and why
A small amount of data may be retained after account deletion only where we are legally required to keep it, or to complete an obligation you asked us to fulfil:
- Order and transaction records — retained to meet tax, accounting and consumer-protection obligations (typically up to 6–7 years, as required by law).
- Records needed to resolve disputes or enforce our terms, for as long as necessary.
- Anonymised or aggregated data that can no longer identify you.
These records are kept only for the period the law requires and are then deleted. They are not used to re-create your account or for marketing.
